Mania is an japanese rock band that was formed in 1984 by original members yoko shimomura and yoko inoue. The group's first album was released in 1985 and they released several more through j records in japan until they signed with the now defunct diamond records in 1992. The band's first live performance was on february 12, 1992, at the japanko cupola in tokyo. The concert was recorded and used as the first episode of the video game "mania". "
